  • Liaising with Veteran Affairs, the Internal Revenue Service, and the Social Security Administration to tackle Missourians’ top casework needs

Delivering Justice for Radiation Victims

Senator Hawley has fought to deliver long overdue justice to victims of government-caused radiation in the St. Louis, Mo., region and across the country. This past year, he:

  • Secured a coveted stand-alone vote in the Senate to pass the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA)

  • Rallied with Congressional leaders and nuclear-radiation advocates from across the country in renewed push to pass RECA in the House

  • Brought Dawn Chapman—co-founder of the grassroots advocacy group “Just Moms” in St. Louis and longtime advocate for victims of nuclear contamination in the region—as guest to the State of the Union address

Working Across the Aisle

Partnering with colleagues on legislative initiatives, Senator Hawley has consistently placed Americans’ needs above party-line politics. A snapshot of his 2024 bipartisan wins include:

  • Passing legislation in the Homeland Security Committee with Chairman Gary Peters (D-Mich.)—which was co-sponsored by U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.), Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), and Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.)—to ban stock ownership and trading for sitting members of Congress

  • Unveiling bipartisan legislation to prevent Pharmacy Benefit Managers from owning pharmacies and driving up prescription drug costs for their own benefit

Senator Hawley has fought to not only expose the corruption within the Biden Administration but also course correct the policy failures it has produced. This past year, he took action to:
