U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) is calling on the FDA to answer for the growing shortage of baby formula around the nation.
In an interview on Fox News today, he asked, “What is the FDA doing with its time? There’s no explanation for this. Missouri, my state, is one of the states in the country that is over 50 percent out of stock. Not only is it not acceptable, this isn’t sustainable.”
He went on to demand that the Biden Administration do more, referencing use of the Defense Production Act to ramp-up production:
