Today, U.S. Senator Josh Hawley introduced original legislation to end taxes on overtime pay. The Senator’s “No Tax On Overtime Act of 2025” fulfills a campaign promise from President Trump to deliver relief for working families following four years of economically debilitating Biden-era policies.
“For decades, working Americans have been left behind by both parties. Mega corporations have gotten richer and richer while workers struggle to get ahead and Washington turns a blind eye,” said Senator Hawley. “President Trump promised to change the status quo and put American workers first by ending taxes on overtime pay. Let’s follow through on that promise and deliver a win for workers.”
Senator Hawley has a strong record of advocating for fair wages for Missourians and all Americans. The Senator believes that supporting workers means fighting for wages worthy of supporting a family.
Senator Hawley’s new bill comes on the heels of his larger pro-worker, pro-family framework, including his bipartisan Faster Labor Contracts Act and his Preventing Child Labor Exploitation in Federal Contracting Act.
